What are the step-by-step methods for RO serving?

  1. Before you start checking the filters, stop incoming water to the system. When water is not flowing, it becomes easy to examine the system.
  2. The water that is already present in the tank should be drained out before the servicing starts. Open the filter faucet and allow the tank to drain out completely until it becomes empty.
  3. Once the tank is empty and there is no water in the reverse osmosis system, give some time for the filter to stay as it is for some time. It gives time for the filters to depressurize before removing the filter housings.
  4. Leave the RO module attached to the cabinet walls for easier access. However, if accessibility is difficult, demount the filters before changing the filters.
  5. Avoid using stubborn soap for cleaning any internal part of the RO module. A mild soap solution is ideal for cleaning the filter housings, the components and parts. As for the other equipment, you may clean them with clean water instead of any solution. Use water-soluble lubricants for cleaning and polishing the filter O-rings.
  6. The next step is to place the new sediment filter inside the filter housing, which is located close to the side of the tuning connections. After inserting the sediment, re-install the housings.
  7. After installing the sediment filter, next install carbon block filter in the middle housing using white end caps.
  8. Once all the installations are taken care of, turn the water on to the system’s adapt-a-valve.
  9. Keep the RO faucet on and let water flow inside storage tank.
  10. Keep the faucet on until the tank gets filled with water. Take a note that it usually takes approximately 3 hours to fill the tank.

Thus, when the RO system tank is full and the unit is running smoothly, you are assured that the system is working fine and is in the best of condition.
